My thought on this is that the Suspense TV show would not be the first item given an unlawful DMCA takedown notice. For example, someone put up a bogus DMCA claim for Plan 9 from Outer Space. Video Cellar reposted with a clear notice of the copyright status:

In addition, sometimes interest in pursuing these claims is based not on legal rights, but on economic interests. The Suspense TV series was last put out in 2009.

The big danger, perhaps is that the claimant also claims to control the rights to several other PD Television series (i.e. Dangerous Assignment and Man with a Camera) and if their attention is drawn to this site, they may start taking down those episodes.
